The Ask
Slice, a digital wallet and credit service brand, reached out to us to create two looping animations that would subtly reinforce brand recall through a fun, visual metaphor. The concept was simple yet clever: “You’ll think of Slice every time you eat a slice of pizza,” drawing attention to the shape similarity between a pizza slice and the brand’s iconic logo.
The Design
The animations were to be used across different digital touchpoints, and needed to be light, smooth, and infinitely loopable to work on repeat without visual fatigue. The brief was clear, the tone playful, and the timeline structured — setting us up for an enjoyable creative sprint.
The Development
We began by mapping out the pizza-to-logo transformation as the core loop narrative, ensuring that the metaphor landed clearly and humorously within just a few seconds. Our animation team built two versions of the loop for different application contexts, both maintaining visual rhythm and continuity.We focused on: Designing a clean and minimalist animation style to match Slice’s brand language. Syncing transitions to feel seamless and hypnotic in loop mode.
The Takeaway
This project was a perfect mix of humor, brand wit, and clean execution. The process collaborative and responsive — making this one of our most frictionless projects where concept and design aligned effortlessly.
